A Wizards and Robots piece depicting the four leads all fighting Brawny robots. Jeremy, Margaret, Gretel, and Silver are all there. Gretel is jumping from a tree while Jeremy is dodging some attacks. The lines are thicker here, along with the heads being bigger

Old Wizards and Robots art

Wizards and Robots has been a project I’ve been working on this project for years. Maybe a decade or over at this point. It started in concept as a game, and has expanded into many different project ideas. Mainly a comic, at this point. Working on a lot of concept art, as well as writing out a lot of it first to get the story situated before drawing out the real comic. However, the original game idea will eventually be used, fulfilling the original concept, just with new pixel art. I’ll make another post all about that.

Here I have a lot of group shots, showing the four protagonists, Jeremy, the Blue Wizard, Margaret the pink witch, Gretel the green witch, and Silver the gray robot. We see them fighting Brawny robots, brown robots, a dragon, at a robot base, and Gretel kissing Jeremy. These were over the course of a few years. I was experimenting with their proportions and getting better at backgrounds at this time. I plan to remake that first group shot eventually. While that wasn’t the first art piece I ever made for this project, it was the first with all four of them fighting.

More Descriptions of the Wizards and Robots

The first image has thicker lines than I wind up using, plus larger heads. With that, Silver’s mohawk is more rounded than I ultimately went with. That mohawk is interesting, as I think it initially started as an antenna in the pixel art of the game I was working on.

There’s even older Wizards and Robots pieces, but I’ll share that another time. Other details include in the robot base one the Ruglous on the ground, a creature that looks like a long rug that stretches a bunch and sucks the magic energy out of any magic user. Draining magic that fast hurts as well, so you wouldn’t want to be hit by that thing.
